Our Cormo Roving in hand dyed color way Night is a fine, soft wool sourced from trusted small-farm partners in Maryland whose care and quality we value. Cormo is known for its staple length and versatility, with micron counts typically ranging from 17–23, making it gentle enough to wear next to the skin while still performing beautifully for felting and spinning.
This roving drafts easily and works well for a wide range of projects. Spun worsted, it produces smooth lace and fingering-weight yarns ideal for openwork and fine details. Spun woolen, it creates a fuller yarn well suited to sweaters, boot socks, and cozy accessories. Night will make a beautiful fractal, woolen, or beginner spin project.
Approximately 4 oz, small batch hand dyed.
At Aker Fiber Farm, we are a small New Hampshire–based working farm specializing in Corriedale and linen, while proudly supporting other small farms producing exceptional wool. Our natural and hand-dyed fibers are washed and finished to remove residual oils, ensuring they are clean, ready to use, and consistent in quality.
